Infosys in the next 25 years.....India in the next 25 years

Sometimes you get bored watching TV. Each channel focussed on their target segment showing what they promise, confusing this poor fellow devoid of work. Rare it might seem but yes at times while surfing through chaannels a thought emerges fighting its way out of quagmire directionless thought.
Channel One....reaction
14th April, a day before Bengali New Year, can be rightly christened as Infosys day. The stock market's, fresh from 420 points loss in two preceding days, were closed. There was a CSLA report which pointed out that the revenue model of IT companies were facing downwards pressure and had resulted in selling pressure on IT stocks for the past few days. Hence when India's largest IT company,Infosys, vangaurd of our progress towards an developed economy declared its 4th Quarter results, both CNBC TV 18 and NDTV Profit dedicated their day upon discussions related to Infosys. And why not.....
For 25 years Infosys has been India's answer to the west. They have always met their forecasts and their way of working is still strange to many in India . When asked what's in store for the next 25 years, Mr.Narayan Murthy stressed that Infosys has to be transformed into an organisation that would attract people from different parts of the world. He beleived that in the next 25 years they could create an organisation that would provide equal oppurtunity for people of different educational background, caste, religion and geography. Only in doing so can infosys create value for its customers and shareholders. Great thought indeed.
Channel next........just a few slots later
A bomb blast in Jama Masjid. An answer to perhaps the Varanasi blasts. People suffered. Thankfully none died. Someone swore to take revenge against those who were responsible. Political analyst perturbed. The increased frequency of blasts is alarming. At one end are these blasts , at other end are those endless reservations. Creating divide in this country that once prided its unity in diversity.
So we have Infy mentor calling for diversity for creation of value.......and here we are, well diversified, destroying our values which took thousands of years to take shape.
I guess by now every body has realised where we will be in the next 25 years
